"Framboises et Ronces" print (1957)

First, I digitally separated the original image into four colour "screens" (grey paper, light green, dark green, black), and then turned them into high-contrast black and white forms. From there, I used those forms to cut coloured pieces of aged paper (I have a collection). I then digitally adjusted the colours, estimating what the booklet would've looked like fresh off the press.

My goal was to rebuild Framboises et Ronces in a way that brought back the crisp intent of the designer. This isn't how I do it every time, but it is how I did it this time. 

A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Ministère de l'Agriculture du Canada wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Le Conseil Canadien Des Bais” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
