305 Lost Buildings of Canada is an impossible architectural waking tour that spans the country, from bulldozed Victoria theatres to a boat shed that washed into the sea in St. John's. Illustrated by yours truly and written by the Globe & Mail's Architecture Critic, Alex Bozikovic, the book started as my "Lost Buildings" print series and ended up a national best-seller and multiple award winner.
Included in the book: buildings that formerly stood in Calgary, Charlottetown, Edmonton, Fredericton, Guelph, Halifax, Hamilton, Kelowna, Kingston, Kitchener, Lethbridge, London, Moncton, Montréal, Oshawa, Ottawa, Peterborough, Québec, Regina, St. John's, Saint John, Sarnia, Saskatoon, Sherbrooke, Sudbury, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Windsor, and Winnipeg. There's even one that travelled from Winnipeg to Regina only to be disassembled a century later, but you'll have to read the book to find out which.
A signed paperback book with 200 pages and B&W illustrations throughout, released by Goose Lane Editions in March of 2022. Find reviews and interviews about it in the "Visitor Info" section of this site.
