So many early images of Calgary were commissioned by real estate companies, and this beauty is one of those commissions. Drawn by an anonymous artist, the "Lovewell" signature at bottom most likely refers to an involved real estate agent. For more context, I recommend reading the ACMLA's Winter 2020 Bulletin titled "Bird's-Eye View of Alberta's Land Boom of the 1910s" by historian Rhys Stevens. Its only shortcoming is that Stevens doesn't explain the curious cubes the artist behind this image drew in modern-day Sien Lok Park.

A reproduction available at 18x12" or 36x24" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Based on this original public domain image held by the University of Alberta's Cameron Library.
