One of my favourite online historical tools is the Westegg.com Inflation Calculator. With it, you can look up a price tag from any point in American history since 1800 and find the equivalent value in current dollars. Yes, the USA's inflation rate differs from Canada's inflation rate, but it's still a handy way to put historic prices in context.
So, with the help of that inflation calculator, we could update the title of this 1971 Ontarian government booklet on carnivorous thrift to Eight Dollar's Worth of Meat.
A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Ontario Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Ontarian Home Economics” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
