Some animals are unstoppable. Back when I lived in Montréal’s Plateau, a raccoon snuck into our apartment, ransacked the cat food, mudded up the studio wall and sniffed at our garbage, plants, and sleeping kid. The cat cannot keep off our kitchen table, despite our countless verbal warnings. My gardening friends have tried everything to keep squirrels away—from cages to hot peppers, ultrasonic alarms and imported cougars—and none of these approaches have worked. It's in this context that I'm offering you the Animal Control print series. The time is right for strongly-worded signage.

Of note: the delightful squirrel was drawn by American illustrator and artist Robert Bruce Horsfall for the 1904 Margaret W. Morley book Litte Mitchell: the Story of a Mountain Squirrel. The book is still in print, but the drawing is now in the public domain there's no way I could've pulled off a wonderful drawing like that. Other images are either fully licensed or culled from the free-to-use sources, meaning that no artists were harmed in the creation of these prints.

Available at 12x18" or 24x36" in English or French on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed, signed and dated on reverse.
