“Bird's Eye View of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada” print by Herman Brosius (1875)

Some of my favourite Peterborough moments come from playing music at the Spill (RIP, but then at 414 George Street North) a handful of times in the 2010s. According to this 1875 map, that stage would've been smack dab in the middle of a half-dozen hotels from Brock to Hunter, and the local public market would've been just a short walk away until it was replaced by the modern-day Peterborough Square.
