Department of Agriculture artists, photographers and designers are very rarely credited, which makes it all the more thrilling when I can detect the hand of the same person on multiple projects. Here, the floating, mirrored potato knocked out of a flat colour that's used as a very modern framing device seems a very strong echo of the 1962 Tuber Flea Beetle in British Columbia booklet cover. Both are stellar examples of what's possible in mid-century potato booklet layout.

A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”National Farming Forum” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
