This charming bird's eye view map of Montpelier was drawn by A. F. Poole in 1884, though the little round vignette at top showing "Montpelier in 1821" was made "from a drawing by Mrs. S. I. Watrous". You can see the 50-some year old State House left of centre and the still-standing College Hall at right. The lettered and numbered attractions are named at map's bottom, and I spy at least five covered bridges over the Winooski.

A reproduction available at 16x12" or 24x18" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. Based on this original public domain image held by the Historical Maps Collection at the Library of Congress.
