“Panoramic View of the City of Halifax, Nova Scotia” by Albert Ruger (1879)

Thomas Mortimer Fowler's 1879 bird's eye view of Halifax is an incredibly solid effort by the most prolific artist of the genre. From 1870 to 1922 he drew, published, or collaborated on at minimum 426 such views of North American cities, and his attention to detail was legendary - you can even find Pizza Corner a little left of this map's centre, right next to the Grafton Street Church. Impressive.
