"Pear Growing in the Annapolis Valley" print (1949)

Nova Scotia has made much talk around the province's mermaids and how the devil put a giant rock in the gulch on Boularderie Island, but few dare speak of the "Great Pear" seen floating over the Annapolis Valley in 1949. Here it is pictured on the cover of a Canadian Department of Agriculture publication from August of that year. Serious.
