“St. Thomas, Province (of) Ontario, Canada” print by Herman Brosius (1875)

As you might've read elsewhere in my collection, between 1871 and 1884 the American illustrator Herman Brosius drew 57 bird's eye view drawings like this, travelling from Texas to North Dakota to Ontario and back again more than once. This particular view of his is of St. Thomas, and the Elgin County Courthouse is shown as it stood pre-1898 fire and reconstruction, and the Elgin County Archives has a wonderfully thorough account of the building's history right here.
