If you're from Nashville you don't need a Montréaler like me to tell you about the Centennial Exposition, how it was a year late, how it made $50 in profit, and how its centrepiece (the Parthenon) remains standing and strong in Centennial Park—I'm pretty sure they teach all of you that in grade school. I will tell you, though, that this bird's eye view of the exposition by the Henderson Lithographic Co. is the finest 19th-century exhibition view I've ever seen, which should fill you with some local pride.
