You can read the original Thrifty Meals with Canned Vegetables booklet right here, but here are the highlights: it recommends you always read the label, and its twelve pages of recipes include such hits as "Jellied Chicken and Tomato Salad" and "Quick Eggs à La King." While Thrifty Meals shared the same (uncredited) cover illustrator as Home Canning of Fruits and Vegetables, it wasn't nearly as popular; Home Canning was reprinted and revised eleven times, Thrifty Meals only thrice.

We've freshened up the cover art for this poster version, but also left some visual artifacts. Text faintly "ghosts" through the page (most noticeably on the can itself) and we've had to reconstruct the bottom left corner of the green illustrated section because it was originally obscured by an oversized library sticker.

A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Canadian Home Economics” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
