“Metro Vancouver” print by Webb & Knapp Ltd. (1957)

This very carefully stitched-up mosaic of aerial photographs was put together by an equally stitched-up mosaic of corporations including Webb & Knapp BC Ltd., Webb & Knapp Canada Ltd., and Toronto Industrial Leaseholds Ltd. Their objective was clear, stated in the map's title and two thickly bordered zones ("Lake-City Industrial Park" and "Sea Island Industrial Park." Sometimes it takes a commercial real estate play to make an interesting map. 

Also of note: depending on what kind of screen you're looking at this with, the water may be full of what are called "moiré" patterns. These are an artifact of the way halftone-dot heavy images like this are printed and how they work on digital screens. In actual printed copies, the grey sections of this print look flat, rather than wavy.
