"You Are a Newly Published Book" print

“You are a Book” is a deluxe pictorial maze wraparound cover I made for the April 2024 issue of the Literary Review of Canada. In it you’re a newly published book with fourteen possible fates, and your future depends on successfully navigating that maze. 

Most of these possible outcomes are not good, including being burned, censored, panned, and having the bulk of your copies sunk in the Atlantic Ocean (as happened to Mason Hereford and Melissa Clark's two cookbooks back in 2022). The best possible outcome? Being snuggled in the arms of an appreciative reader. What book wouldn’t want that?
